When you turn on Bandwidth saver, if you have not used your remote in 4 hours, it will ask if you are still watching… If you haven't used the remote in 4 hours, a message will display asking you if you're still watching. If there is no response the channel will stop streaming and save your network bandwidth.

On my Roku 3 and Roku Express I see a message asking if I'm still watching when my tv is turned off while streaming YouTube tv (meaning I see the message when I eventually turn the tv back on). This is from falling asleep in front of the tv at night, so I'm not sure how long it is before the message appears or if YouTube tv has a time limit set ...

I can't say for every device but I think Google is able to see if I'm coming from a browser, Roku box. In my case on one TV there is a separate Roku box. They have their own power sources. When I turn the TV power off and turn it back on the Roku box goes back to it's main menu. To me that says streaming stopped with the TV being turned off.

check your bandwith saver in setting on your tv, i have Roku and smart Magnavox and turn OFF , this worked for bot tv's. go back to home then back to settings and make sure it is checkmarked OFF , first time it auto went back to on. That doesn’t resolve the Xfinity stream issue - only other apps you’re streaming.
