  • How to run a map. If everything is installed correctly, simply start the game like you normally would. Then bring down the developer console by pressing the ~ or ^ key (the one below ESC). Here you can first select the desired difficulty using the skill # command. The difficulty values are 0 (easy), 1 (normal), 2 (hard) and 3 (nightmare).

To start the mod and load the map, the *-game modname* parameter has to be added to the command line of the game, for example glquake.exe -game quoth. Once game and mod are running, the map can be loaded as described above.

When i type "map" and then hit the "tab" key, my custom maps show up in a list, but if i type any of them in, I get the "couldn't spawn server maps/test.bsp" message.

I have the .bsp's in a "maps" folder in "ID1", now how do I play them in game/multiplayer? And before anyone asks; No, I don't have anything better to do in my spare time.
